Oh yes! Thanks for flagging that - it doesn’t seem to be displaying the full ‘help’ text with the guidance on ‘type what you see’. We’ll look into it and get it fixed. Are you using a mobile digital device or a PC / laptop? Might be missing from mobile display only. Thanks.

christian I am using a PC. But the mobile version of the "Help" notes is the same, I've just checked.

Do we know what project this is for? Project tutorials can be edited individually and I can't find any missing ones!

Edit: A URL or title would do, just any reference to help locate it, thanks.

alexmendes This one, for example, https://www.libcrowds.com/collection/playbills/projects/96/iiif-annotation.
Earlier Christian wrote: "We’ve included guidance in the ‘Help’ notes for the title transcription tasks asking that people ‘type what you see’ - however, we add:
“There is an exception to 'type what you see': if you come across a 'long f' - for example, the 'Sufpicious Hufband', please use 's' instead of 'f' in your transcription.”
“Type in the title exactly as displayed in the highlighted box on the page.” "
Right now, there is the “Type in the title exactly as displayed in the highlighted box on the page.” passage. But there is no passage about the "long s" (“There is an exception to 'type what you see': if you come across a 'long f' - for example, the 'Sufpicious Hufband', please use 's' instead of 'f' in your transcription.”)
        Hope this helps.

dinascherbakova Thanks for the clarification. This is strange as that project does have the full help text so I'm not sure why you aren't seeing it - I'll investigate!

alexmendes I couldn't see the full help text when using a mobile device and domestic network access . It does appear when using laptop and Library network. Strange.

We spent some time trying to replicate it, as I'd noticed the lack of task-specific text on one project too, but we haven't been able to find a project missing the text to work out what's going on.

It's possible that an error is being thrown while the task is loaded, before the text gets fed into the help modal, we'll figure it out!

It looks like @alexmendes has found a solution and task-specific information should appear when you load a project or hit the '?' button for the help screen.
